Unifi, Inc. Announces Plan to Sell Plant

GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Unifi, Inc. a polyester yarn producer will sell its manufacturing plant in Yadkinville, North Carolina for $7 million in the first half of 2009.
Company officials reported to the Securities and Exchange Commision that some of its subsidiaries will expect to gain about $5 million from the sale.
About 21 percent of Unifi's yarns are used in the contract and residential furniture industries.
