Twill Textiles Makes Its Debut
November 22, 2005
CHICAGO, Illinois -- Twill Textiles, the brainchild of Susanne Lovell, made its debut earlier this month as a unique collection of sophisticated home furnishings textiles, inspired by the beauty of traditional hand weaving.
Suzanne Lovell, principal of Suzanne Lovell, Inc. formed a partnership with Sam Kasten of Sam Kasten Handweaver to create the collection.
It offers 20 fabrics in multiple patterns and color combinations, thoughtfully reinterpreted for mill production.
Techiques and processes used primarily for apparel textiles were also transformed into those that could be used for home textiles.
Kasten and Lovell source their yarns world-wide and work with weaving mills across Europe. Twill's first collection also includes a group of environmentally-friendly fabrics.
