December 27, 2007
NEW YORK, New York – Sources close to Stroheim & Romann, the JAB-Anstoetz-owned company, have confirmed that Bill Peters joined the company around Dec. 10.
Peters is an industry veteran and formerly worked for Osborne & Little in their New York office. Peters will report to Chris Jacob Schminnes who has been serving as the interim president since August.
Fabrics & Furnishings International reported in mid-November that Stroheim was reluctant to make any statements regarding a permanent replacement for president Julian Grauer, who left the company in August.
At that time, Chris Jacob Schminnes was appointed interim president, and continues to serve in that position. According to sources, Schminnes, who came from JAB, will stay in New York for about six more months before returning to the Bielefeld, Germany, headquarters.
