Simmons VP of Sales Dies in Car Crash

ATLANTA, Georgia – Gary Pleasant, senior VP of sales for the west for Simmons Co., was killed over the weekend in a car accident, according to local news reports.
Pleasant, 64 at the time of his death, was on board a chartered van for a surprise party for fellow Simmons executive, Roger Murray, when the van crashed into a median wall.
The accident killed both Pleasant and Murray's daughter-in-law, Sherry Murray. Simmons Co. has been supplying bedding products to the contract and residential division for 125 years.
