December 10, 2009
ROCKAWAY, New Jersey - Roysons, a manufacturer of wallcoverings for over 30 years, has a whole new image including a new corporate identity and website.
Additionally, new Roysons products have opened the door to upper end commercial wallcovering markets both in the USA and overseas according to Gary Rizzo, vice president of wallcoverings.
Currently Roysons brands, Richwall and Richtex, are being privately labeled in the USA through various distributors, said Gary Rizzo, vice president of wallcoverings.
Weve been working hard and pushing the envelope to develop new innovative products, our newest patent pending wallcovering design called 'Astral,' delivers all the impact of real glass beads but has been value engineered for much lower price points, Rizzo said. Cheryl Ritchie Reilly, Roysons director of design created Astral, Mercury and Axis patterns that are part of the new package and are being added to the Roysons Sparks collection. Roysons is selling these patterns outside the USA through distribution, and will exhibit it at Heimtextil 2010. Innovations In Wallcoverings has the exclusive on the Astral, glass beads lookalike, in the USA and calls its version ''Illumina.''
In addition to raising the design bar, Roysons is launching a new environmentally-friendly wallcovering substrate such as Terralon a 54 Type 11 wallcovering with 31 percent post-consumer recycled content totally PVC and POA free, yet looks and feels like vinyl, Rizzo said. ''The substrate contains no plasticizers, phthalates, formaldehyde, chlorine or Heavy Metals and no ozone depleting chemicals,'' he added. Terralon is manufactured using completely water-based ink and adhesive systems. In addition Terralon will qualify for a contribution of up to six LEED credits, he said.
While this product is currently only offered to the market on a custom basis, Roysons is planning a November 2010 eco-friendly collection featuring Terralon. This collection will be marketed through their all-new Vure Design brand.
