Reuben Lentz Leaves American Silk
May 28, 2009
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania - In restructuring the company, American Silk Mills has decided to eliminate the position of sales director to decorative jobbers, held by Reuben Lentz for the past three years, according to Lentz.
According to Lentz, the decision was not made as a reflection on him but as a result of business for the entire fabric industry being affected by the recession.
''It's a reflection of the times we're in,'' he said. ''I have enjoyed working with the American Silk Mills team during the last few years. A wonderful company, with a fine reputation for great product and service, it was a real pleasure to sell their beautiful decorative fabrics and be a part of the team.''
With previous experience at Mastercraft, Weathervane Hill and Waverly, Lentz has a long history in the industry and plans to stay actively involved. ''I am planning to stay in the industry and continue on my extensive background,'' he said. ''I'm being very optimistic. I'm keeping an open mind.''
