Reinglas Joins Romano
April 7, 2005
NEW YORK, New York — Ruthie Reinglas, previously with Beacon Looms and CHF has joined Handel House of Textiles as senior vice president of design.
At the same time, Sheldon Handel left Handel House, the company he founded, after he sold it to Joseph Romano late last year. Handel is back in the textile business under the name of 'Sheltex.'
Reinglas, who reports to Romano in her new post, will focus on readymade window treatments and top of bed products for the residential market.
In addition to its own line, Handel House also represents Itochu, a major Japanese Trading company with a turnover of $100 billion. When Romano bought Handel House, he moved the company from piece goods sales into finished product. Handel is now in both markets.
