Raymakers Shows 1,000 Velvet Items, One Piece Minimums

HELMOND, The Netherlands – Despite the economic crisis, Raymakers "has the confidence to continue to develop new velvet collections and first class customer support," said Richard Oussoren, managing director. At Proposte 2009 in Como, Italy May 6 to 8, Raymakers will offer a 1,000-piece velvet program available at one piece minimum per color in "easy to handle, up-to-date color ranges and a wide variety of qualities at different price levels," Oussoren said. The program includes cotton, viscose, silk, linen and Trevira®CS velvets. In addition, Raymakers will offer organic velvets, outdoor velvets, upholstery velvets and curtain velvets as part of this program. Plain velvets and decorated velvets with brushed or embossed designs, domestic velvets and contract FR velvets are also part of this program – all recently colored. Other highlights include a combination concept of plain and embossed velvets in a rich, cotton look. These velvets are multipurpose and are available in 52 colors and eight different designs. They include chic vintage looks with a refined blend of linen and silk for the pile yarn. Another combination concept features a plain and cord velvet, made out of the most luxurious cotton yarn, Oussoren said, and available in 52 coordinated colors. Also available will be the first organic multipurpose cotton velvet for Raymakers, in one piece minimums in over 50 colors and Raymakers' first outdoor velvet with high weathering fastness and the highest IMO FR qualification, available in 48 colors by the piece, also suitable for indoor use. A 100 percent silk velvet will be available in 25 colors by the piece. The worldwide standard for dual cotton velvet, Martindale 50,000 rubs, Teflon® finish, curtain and upholstery use, now available in 200 colors by the piece.
