Para Buys Arazzo Interest
September 3, 2004
MILAN, Italy—Para Spa, with an 80 million euro turnover has acquired an interest in a smaller mill, Arazzo, a yarn dyed jacquard upholstery manufacturer based in Vigliano Biellese (Biella), Italy.
Para is owned by the Parravicini family. It is a producer of piece dyed and printed furnishing fabrics.
Arazzo will continue to be managed by principals Elena and Filippo Uecher, and will keep its separate identity in production, sales and marketing distinct from Para, they said.
Arazzo's production is expected to permit a favorable synergy with Para to widening the range of products offered from both mills, company officials said.
Filippo Uecher also said that Decosit will provide the opportunity to explain in better detail how this new alliance will work to the customer's benefit.
Arazzo will exhibit its new collection at Decosit from 11 to September 14. Stand 7B51 a short distance away from Para's stand 7D50E49.
