PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ— U.S.-based fabric jobbers are embracing custom software to run their business according to Steve Hagen, principal of PDF Systems Inc. here.
“The residential fabric business is booming in the States and jobbers are finally discarding their outdated off-the-shelf software in favor of custom-designed,” Hagen says.
He figured that Covid would not positively impact his business but just the opposite has happened. “Business has never been better for us,” he says.
PDF has 35 years in the software business and specializes in fabric distribution management solutions.
“Distributors are using our software to manage the day-to-day operations including cloud-based websites, web built showrooms, order tracking. Our programs allow manufacturers to put all of their orders on the web so their customers can track shipments.
Our software can manage orders worldwide for international customers,” he adds.
