Onity Appoints New President

ATLANTA, Georgia — Onity, a leading global provider of electronic locking systems that offers innovative technological solutions and services for the hospitality industry, announced the appointment of Mark Gordon to the position of president and general manager. Based at Onity's world headquarters in Duluth, Georgia, Mark will develop and execute plans and policies that are designed to drive continued growth and expansion of Onity's global markets. Onity, one of the world's leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
Prior to joining Onity, Mark served as Managing Director of Smiths Detection, a division of Smiths Group, a global technology company that provides advanced integrated security solutions for customers in civil and military markets worldwide. Previously, Mark held a variety of sales, marketing and operations leadership roles with Amphenol RF, Thomas & Betts, and Square D Company.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Florida and a Masters of Arts from Harvard University.
