Nursultan Doubles Its Manufacturing Facility

ISTANBUL, Turkey – According to company principal Ibrahim Gumus, Nursultan Tekstil has just expanded its manufacturing facility from 200 thousand square meters to 400 thousand square meters. With increased producing capabilities and new marketing strategies, Gumus projects an 80 percent increase in net sales for the upholstery manufacturing company.
"The former space was not wide enough so we decided to expand the facility," said Gumus. "Before, the yarns, transportation and weaving were all under one roof. Now the yarns and transportation have been moved to the new space and the existing space is solely dedicated to weaving processes."
The company has ordered eight new jacquard weaving machines to add to the existing 14. Principals expect the machines to arrive late July and become fully functional by the end of August.
In addition to production expansion, export manager Omer Ineyici indicated that the company has improved its producing and finishing processes. The exact processes were not revealed.
"We are also buying new ideas from the experts in the design field," said Ineyici. "Mr. Fulvio Alvisi, who presented at EVTEKS today, will sell us new designs. A lot of customers are interested in his designs."
Ineyici, who was hired last June, reflects the company's shifting focus from domestic to export sales. "This company hadn't been interested in foreign markets until the last couple of years," said Ineyici. "I have been educated in the American university where I have learned how to deal differently with European, American and Middle Eastern customers. Because I have seven years of experience in this market, I have past relationships with people in the industry that I can bring to my position."
"I am friends with someone in our production facilities," Ineyici continued, "so I don't have any problems in delivery time, internal communication or lack of collection improvements."
