Mary Jones Design Appoints Fine Artist to Sales Position
August 2, 2000
Stafford (UK) - Mary Jones Design has appointed Colin Sinclair to the team to concentrate on export sales. Previously with Artwork, he is perhaps best known for his work with Rogue Textile Design Studio.
Trained as a fine artist, Sinclair has worked predominantly in design for top-level European markets. ''Since joining Mary Jones Design in April, I have had to go through a huge learning curve, finding out about such things as repeats and designing for a wide range products. But the main attraction was the company's collection,'' he said.
Mary Jones Design is described as a ''cutting edge'' directional design studio providing portfolio and commission-based collections for curtaining, upholstery, bedding, wallcoverings, ceramics and tabletop products.
Creative and managing director Mary Jones said Sinclair brought a wealth of experience to the company. In his new position, he will be traveling extensively presenting the studio's collection.
