LA Mills Executive Runs NYC Marathon, Raising Money for Those with Spinal Cord Injuries

Michael Koch, a principal of LA Mills in Los Angeles, will run this year's TCS New York City Marathon on Nov. 4, helping to raise money for those with spinal cord injuries, including his nephew Adam.
"As many of you know, more than eight years ago, Adam was involved in a serious accident which left him paralyzed from the waist down," Koch said in a statement. "His journey has been full. His spirits are strong; his focus and dedication clear. He continues to take on the challenges involved with living life in a wheelchair."
Koch added: "Accessibility, awareness and patience are key. He has become a mentor to others with spinal cord injuries, offers insight at schools and community events and participates in ground breaking research programs."
Koch will run with Team Reeve. The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation helps fund research and promotes quality-of-life issues for those living with spinal cord injuries.
