FRANKFURT, Germany - Geert Bottger, Messe Frankfurts head of worldwide textile fairs, and Isa Hofmann, Avantex event manager, resigned from the company at the end of January to work full-time at their respective consulting companies.

Bottger is in the process of founding a consulting firm that he said will help textile and garment manufacturers with international marketing, distribution and sourcing. Hofmanns firm, iHOFMANN - CONSULTING, Communication, Marketing & Innovative Strategies, will collaborate with Messe Frankfurt to coordinate the next Aventex, scheduled to take place in Frankfurt June 7 to 9 in conjunction with Techtextil.

Michael Janecke, Messe Frankfurts Techtextil manager, has assumed responsibility for Avantex duties.
