Florence Native Stefano Pagliai Dies at 45

GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Sales manager for the Americas for Spagnesi USA, Stefano Pagliai, 45, has died.
Pagliai was a former Natuzzi quality manager and was originally from Florence, Italy. He moved to the Unites States in 1985 and after serving as a manager for Sears in Italy, he joined the home furnishings industry in 1993 through High Point-based leather resource ItalDesign.
In 1997, he joined Natuzzi and moved to Spagnesi – a one-time business unit of Natuzzi – when it was sold to the Capellini family in 2005. Spagnesi was in charge of developing new business for the Americas.
Pagliali was diagnosed with cancer early in 2006 and his family would like memorials in his honor to be made to organizations that focus awareness and efforts on creating a healthier environment to reduce cancer. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son, and mother, sister and brother in Italy.
