Chelsea Garber Joins GarberTex International

BLAUVELT, NY—Chelsea Garber has teamed up with her mother, Maria, who started GarberTex International in 2002 as a fabric sales agency.
“Chelsea will at last take on a larger role in the family business, GarberTex International,” Maria says. “GarberTex has represented some of the world’s leading textile mills, most notably Swadeshi Silk of Bangalore, India,” she adds. “Chelsea’s passion for design has led her to collaborate in textiles with me for over a decade, following in my footsteps around the world.”
Chelsea is a New York native who holds a degree in interior design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She has an extensive background in both residential and commercial interior design and renovation.
Prior to starting her own interior design firm, Chelsea Skye Design, Chelsea worked for award-winning design companies in Greenwich, Connecticut, and New York City. Her professional training also includes a design position with a leading design-build firm in New York.
“Chelsea is proud to carry on the next generation of GarberTex, and I personally wish her much continued success in the industry,” her mother states.
