CLARIFICATION: Skaff a client of Designers Guild, not Distributor
December 16, 2009
BEIRUT, Lebanon - In a recent posting on FFI.com, the high-end fabric wholesaler, Skaff, was referred to a distributor of Designers Guild. This information was not correct as Skaff is a client of Designers Guild, a fact which has been cleared up with FFI.com by G.P. Skaff, managing director.
According to G.P., Skaff is a client of Designers Guild in Lebanon. ''Maison d'Art,'' managed by Arig Jandali, based in Dubai, is the sole exclusive distributor of Designers Guild in the Middle East and Gulf region. ''We have a showroom dedicated to designers in which we display all the products of Designers Guild and others,'' said G.P. ''The showroom is called, 'Designers at Skaff.'''
In a company memo, Skaff describes Designers at Skaff as a ''new concept in Lebanon to value young talents and give them a real chance to express themselves in the domain of interior design.'' The memo continues, ''Manuel Canovas, Designers Guild, Eijjfinger and many other designers offer you already at Designers at Skaff a wide range of accessories for your home, accessories rich in color and creativity. Young and fresh colors, where white, fuchsia, apple green and turquoise fight to get your preference and add beauty to your interior, while waiting for young new talents to come and enrich your house with a touch of novelty.''
The Designers at Skaff program sells Designers Guild products among others, but Skaff is not the sole distributor of the brands wallpaper and fabrics - they are available in several places throughout Lebanon.
