British Trimmings Hires Ellerbeck

STOCKPORT, UK — Alan Ellerbeck has joined British Trimmings Ltd. as international sales director as of July 1.
He was previously vice president of sales for Tasseltime, a trimmings wholesaler based in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He held that post for two years.
In his new post, Ellerbeck reports to Richard Cox, managing director of BT.
Ellerbeck, a native South African will be based in the British Trimmings offices in the UK. He will concentrate on Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
British Trimmings is owned by Strategex Alliance, a holding company. On an operational basis, British Trimmings reports to William Wrights & Co., based in West Warren, MA.
One year ago, Conso Trimmings, now a sister division of BT, was merged with William Wrights & Co. Conso offices also moved from Union, SC to Charlotte, NC. The warehouse moved to Nashville, TN.
BT is selling the Conso, Wrights and BT trimming ranges outside the USA while Conso is selling the same ranges in the USA.
At the same time, BT has appointed Mike Cassidy UK sales director in order to develop major retail accounts. He was previously with Korbond, an Australia based haberdashery manufacturer.
BT is now selling haberdashery items including knitting and sewing tools, as well as ribbons.
Jeremy Taylor, previously with Fridge Play, a magnetic game manufacturer in the UK has been named new Business development director for BT. Taylor and Cassidy also report to Cox.
