Weathervane's Benchmark

October 12, 2004

NORWALK, Connecticut — Benchmark has been established as a new division of Weathervane Hill Fabrics to service the hospitality trade according to Tom Bruno, vice president of sales for the 12 year old fabric converter.

Tom Roth, founder of Roth Fabrics Inc., parent company to Weathervane Hill, and Bruno showed the line for the first time at the Miami HD Boutique show.

"We were converting terry cloth matelasse for the top of the bed and that became the catalyst for entering the hospitality trade," Bruno said.

"Weathervane Hill has a tradition in working with natural fibers for the upscale residential market. We see that the hospitality industry is looking for more products like ours – better goods. We will be selling our collection in the $20-$30 range for the boutique hotel and high roller suites."

Benchmark says it offers great in-house styling in upholstery, multi-purpose sheers — all imported from Europe with Trevira®CS.

"Benchmark is stocking these new hospitality fabrics F.O.B. Connecticut. There is no minimum quantity required for purchase of stock items but if you want custom colors, we can do it on anything in our line for a minimum order of 300 yards," says Bruno.

Rochelle Tenace is representing Benchmark to the hospitality trade.
