W.A.C. Cuts Ribbon for New Facility

DONGGUAN, China – W.A.C. Lighting's three years of planning and development paid off this month with the grand opening of the company's state-of-the-art global manufacturing facilities and campus in QingXi.
The opening not only marked the company's leap into a larger space to accommodate a growing business; it was also a celebration of W.A.C.'s 10 years of manufacturing its product line abroad. The day's events included a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by local officials and dignitaries, a parade, luncheon and dinner.
The new facility is more than 750,000 square feet and at full capacity, it will employ about 2,500 people. It includes manufacturing and distribution centers and an office building for administration, research and development and testing. A 20,000-square-foot lighting application, showroom/training center will display and demonstrate the firm's complete product line.
