New York, NY -- Chari Voehl has been promoted to vice president of design for Covington Fabric and Design, LLC, effective January 1st, 2013. In her new position, Voehl will continue to report to Greg Tarver, President and CEO.

Voehl was previously Covington’s Design Director, having joined Covington in February, 2011. Prior to joining CFD, she was director of woven styling and marketing at Swavelle/Mill Creek with primary responsibility for multi-purpose wovens and contract upholstery. During her 14+ year career at SMC, she also had responsibilities for advertising and editorial coverage.  

Voehl has a very diverse background that is beneficial to Covington, including hands-on experience as a print designer and stylist earlier in her career, according to Tarver. "Her on-going collaboration with Covington's sales team is a key asset to CFD," he said.
