Valdese, NC -- Valdese Weavers, LLC has come to an agreement with Luc Callens and his Algemene Two sales group to represent the company in its international markets, according to David Schmidt, Vice President, Market Development. The arrangement initially covers the UK, Scandinavia, Australia, and Asian markets but could expand over time.  Algemene Two will market and sell all of the ranges of Valdese Weavers brands:

Valdese Weavers, Home Fabrics, Circa 1801, VW Contract, and Valdese International Products (VIP).  They will not represent the company in the United States and Canada, where Valdese Weavers has its own extensive sales network.

Algemene Two currently has 30 agents worldwide, and Callens is also the president of the Belgian jacquard mill.  At the just concluded MoOD fair in Brussels in September, Valdese Weavers and Algemene Two exhibited in adjoining showrooms where they revealed the partnership to the world market.
