Trimland USA moves to 45,000-square-foot showroom

April 25, 2003

DEER PARK, N.Y. – Trimland USA, a subsidiary of leading Turkish manufacturer Oz-Is Tekstil, moved to a new 45,000-square-foot U.S. showroom and distribution center in April.

Growing demand fortified the company's decision to open a distribution center stateside, the company said. Since the company entered the American market 20 years ago, it has been shipping directly from its main facility in Istanbul.

"Our goal in the United States is to have a full line of merchandise in stock so that our customers' orders may be filled immediately," said Hilda Apikoglu, president of Trimland USA. "We see this as an important step in developing our business in the U.S."

With the move, Trimland USA has begun servicing its Latin American and South American customers from this facility as well.

Oz-Is, the parent company, does business in 73 countries worldwide and manufactures the trimmings, including tassels and tiebacks, braids, cords, tapes, bullion and brush fringes, curtain tapes, velvet and satin ribbons – at its 250,000-square-foot facility in Istanbul.

In other news, Trimland unveiled a new web site, www.trimland.com and plans to go live with a service- and information-based Internet site whose access is limited to customers.
