The Robert Allen Group Goes to Vegas

March 20, 2008

LAS VEGAS, Nevada —The Robert Allen Group, the nation's leading designer and marketer of decorative fabrics to the interior design trade, will open a Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showroom offering fabric and furniture in Las Vegas. The new, nearly 30,000-square-foot showroom will be located at the Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) on the first floor of World Market Center's Building C.

The showroom will open July 28, 2008 for the Las Vegas Market, which is scheduled from July 28 until August 1. Featuring home furnishings, fabrics and trim, The Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showroom will be the largest of the company-owned and operated showrooms located throughout the U.S. and internationally.

"We're delighted to be opening a showroom at the Las Vegas Design Center. We believe this has become a key market for the design industry and will provide our customers from all over the world with a convenient location to see our products," said Jeff Cordover, president of The Robert Allen Group. "Our company strives to surpass all expectations by consistently offering the most innovative fabric designs and constructions and the best customer service in the industry. Our location at the World Market Center will set a new level of excellence for Robert Allen | Beacon Hill and we're extremely excited about its opening."

"Prior to our decision to open a showroom at the Las Vegas Design Center, we'd been monitoring the developing business in the area for quite some time," said Glenn Gold, the executive vice president, marketing and general manager of residential businesses at The Robert Allen Group. Because of our strong position within the industry, the LVDC expressed interest in having us there. We made quite a few visits and spoke with our customers in Las Vegas – as well as our customers in Los Angeles, Pheonix, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, etc. – and decided that the LVDC would provide a unique opportunity for all of us. The LVDC offered us a prime location on the first floor in the entry area, and it was a combination of the opportunity that Las Vegas offered and the prime location within the Design Center that attracted us," he said.

Gold expects that the new showroom will help The Robert Allen Group better service all of its contract and residential customers because of its size and location. "The size and scope of our showroom will allow us to work directly with our customers. By being in Las Vegas we are able to serve the Las Vegas community but also serve the Western states around Nevada. Las Vegas has become huge in the design community as well as a destination spot for travelers everywhere," he said.

World Market Center officials said they are proud to have The Robert Allen Group join the roster of companies leasing space in the home furnishings complex's 2.1 million-square-foot third building. William Grenewald, general manager of the Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center said, "The Robert Allen Group is truly an asset to our growing mix of tenants. This high-end company is well known and well respected in the industry and will bring a strong emphasis on design and branding to the Las Vegas Design Center."

Noted designer Larry Laslo, who first joined The Robert Allen Group to release a fabric collection in July of 2007, will be a keynote speaker at the Las Vegas Market. He will present his newest designs for upholstery, window products and a new trim collection. The Robert Allen Group is also in the process of finalizing plans for several events that will welcome customers to the new showroom.
