The Mitchell Group Triples Warehouse

April 25, 2012

CHICAGO – The Mitchell Group, a textile sourcing and converting company, will triple the size
of its warehouse/ in Pontotoc, Ms. May 8 with 100,000 square feet, the company says.
The warehouse space with adjacent offices will house the company’s customer service
department. The additional space and upgraded technology will allow Mitchell to provide a
higher level of service and more efficient deliveries, said Bill Fisch, president.

“I learned the upholstery business here more than 30 years ago, and I am thrilled to be established
as a Mississippi company, employing Mississippi residents,” Fisch added. Mitchell will ship from
its current location in New Albany, Indiana until May 3. Customer service and the warehouse
will be closed May 4 and May 7.

The Mitchell Group was co-founded by Bill Fisch and Ann Brunett. The Niles, IL. based
company converts and imports textile for furniture manufacturers, retailers as well as the contract
& hospitality, boating and RV markets. Strategic distribution has placed Mitchell products in
hotels, casinos, restaurants, offices, and commercial spaces.

The Mitchell Group’s collection includes Sta-Kleen®, a dry-erase urethane upholstery. Mitchell's
ReCast® bonded leather line is also a promising product, Fisch said.

Mitchell’s sister company, Big Kahuna Fabrics, is a converter of Hawaiian-influenced tropical
prints suitable for upholstery, bedding and window treatments. Big Kahuna recently expanded
its print offerings through a new division called BKF Home, which offers a textile collection
inspired by vintage French grain sacks. The collection is constructed using a recycled cotton yarn
and made in the USA.
