Tex-Styles India to Showcase 700 Companies

January 24, 2008

NEW DELHI, India – After 13 successful shows, Tex-Styles India, organized by India Trade Promotion Organization, will showcase a wide range of Indian textile collections, trims and accessories between March 2nd and March 5th, 2008.

In 2007, the show attracted over 8,000 buyers including 1,000 overseas buyers from 80 countries. "We expect a large number of international buyers to turn out. The buyer can visit Pragati Maidan as a one-stop shop because other shows will run concurrently along Tex-Styles India during the week. The shows will feature fabrics for apparel and accessories, carpeting, floor covering, house-wares and gifts," said N. K. Sehgal, General Manager.

The display will cover an area of 35,000 square meters and will showcase the products of Indian craftsmen through 700 companies. Indian textiles known for their diversity in product and color will range from hand-loomed to modern textiles. They vary immensely in texture and feel, and are available in cotton, rayon, wool, silk, jute and fabric blends.

Buyers will have an opportunity to seek the traditional and creative skills of Indian designers, weavers and printers who will be willing to accommodate buyers' custom requirements. The B2B event is exclusively open to business visitors who deal with textiles.
