Stof Acquires the brand Indienne Valdrome

September 5, 2015

St. Etienne in La Tourette, FR--Stof, the largest French print converter has acquired the two brands ‘Valdrome’ and ‘Indienne Valdrome’ after the liquidation of the Valdrome Company this year.

Stof also purchased the 750 drawings that Valdrome had in its archives, based in Valence.

The company known as Valdrome was an old company which specialized in Provencal fabrics. Stof said that Valdrome “failed these last years because of the lack of interest from the customers for the Provencal fabrics.” Valdrome stopped all business in 2014.

Stof intends to build on the Valdrome heritage, by launching a very updated French classic collection printed in France. The company expects to market this small brand to export markets, including the USA, Japan and even in China where “customers appreciate French products,” a Stof spokesman says. The domestic French market is also targeted with ready-made products.

The first collection will be shown in January at "Maison et Objets" in Paris, but also at the "Bisou" in Nice; “Homi” in Milan; “Hexagone” in Lyon, France and probably during one or two regional fairs in USA.

The USA is a major new market target for Stof in 2016. (See page one story in Fabrics & Furnishings International autumn issue)
