Scoperta 2008 Moves From Milan to Chiasso
February 25, 2008
CHIASSO, Switzerland -- Scoperta 2008, the global trade fair for furnishings, fabrics and wallcoverings, has been moved to the Palapenz in Chiasso to accommodate exhibitors and visitors who wish to be in proximity to Cernobbio. A fast link shuttle bus service will run between Scoperta and Cernobbio.
''It is the exhibitors and the visitors who make Scoperta the success that it is so it is of paramount importance that we take on board their feedback,'' said Bill Davis, event organizer. ''Location rather than state-of-the-art facilities is what they want and our move to Chiasso from Milan reflects this. Those who have exhibited previously at the Palapenz know it is a great venue and will create an interesting yet intimate atmosphere. Many of our exhibitors are delighted to be returning to Chiasso and we are seeing some old friends returning on the back of this news.''
After November of 2008, the Schengen visa will become valid for Switzerland. This means that visitors will no longer require a specific visa to enter the country, and traveling between Italy and Switzerland in May will be much more time-efficient.
