Ritz Hotel and Fabricut Make Licensing Agreement
April 11, 2000
Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. – The Ritz Hotel, Paris has licensed Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Fabricut to produce fabrics and trimmings to be marketed under the "Ritz Paris" brand, according to Nina Butkin, Fabricut vice president of design.
"We have been asked to put out several collections of fabrics and trimmings that would reflect the lifestyle of the Ritz Paris and bring it into the American market place at an affordable price," said Butkin. "This program gives people the opportunity to buy fabrics that reflect the history and lifestyle of the Ritz Paris."
She described the designs in the first Ritz Paris collection, which will be unveiled in January 2001, as elegant and traditional. The company has yet to determine when subsequent collections will be put out, but Butkin said a second collection could be finished in the summer of 2001.
