NEW YORK, New York -- Richloom Fabrics Group expanded its global reach with the opening of an office in India and the signing of a licensing agreement to produce Crypton, Inc.,  in China.

Announced this spring, Richloom opened its office in New Delhi to oversee sales efforts, sourcing, and management of local mills. Andrew Reisel, a vice president at the company, said that locating the office in New Delhi is central to Richloom’s efforts at furthering the brand’s global reputation, and that the office will provide oversight of quality control to ensure the continuation of the Richloom’s standard.

“New Delhi has a booming hospitality industry right now and for the future,” Reisel said. “This, coupled with the overall growth of India’s economy and the growth of the middle class in New Delhi, are some of the reasons why we situated our newest office in a city that continues to be a burgeoning area of India’s overall growth.”

The opening marks the third country in which Richloom is located. It also has offices in New York and Shanghai, and has showrooms in 5 cities across the U.S.

The company also signed a licensing agreement with Crypton in a move that brings Crypton-based products to the Chinese and strengthens Richloom’s footing in a local market that already features a well-established office and showroom in Shanghai.
