SHANGHAI—Pure will introduce a bio-based, solvent-free polyurethane synthetic leather at Heimtextil 2025 for the first time (6.2 D70E), according to Hunter Que, head of product development and sales.
Pure is the brand produced by Zhejiang Changfeng New Materials Co., LTD. with a factory in Lishui City, Zhejiang and sales offices in Shanghai.
Que says his company is the first 100% environmentally friendly PU manufacturing factory in China. “The products do not contain a pungent odor, formaldehyde, phthalates, DMF and other harmful chemicals. The price range of this new Pure line will be $3-$6 per meter,” he says.
“Our new product is more environmentally friendly. Its hydrolysis resistance can reach up to 10 years and is designed for our expanding contract market,” he adds.
Que, who has almost 20 years’ experience with the synthetic leather industry in China, says he is “stocking goods with specific customers and we are paying more attention to development and quality control. Pure is walking in the forefront of the market,” he adds.
“The PU is widely used in upholstery, contract and other fields,” Que says. “The company is vigorously promoting bio-based EPU sourcing from industrial corn, which is more environmentally friendly and produces a low-carbon footprint. Our vision is to create 100% ECO materials for the future," Que explains.
