Purcell Letchinger Stocks High End Mohair Velvet

Hickory, NC (USA) —Purcell Letchinger Group, a sales agency representing four high-end imported lines has added inventory of high-end velvets in mohair, mohair/silk, wool and linen varieties.
These products are priced at $40-$50 per yard. "By having an in-stock position in these better velvets, we will be able to service our customers better than ever before on a piece and cut order basis," said Andrew Purcell, president.
The velvet is manufactured by Algemene of Belgium. Purcell Letchinger moved to new offices and warehouse in Hickory in the past year from the Chicago area to better serve its growing customer base. In addition, it opened a new showroom on the eighth floor of the Textile Tower in High Point timed for the recent Showtime exhibition. It's new website has just come on-line featuring the theme: "We make the best fabrics in the world available."
"We had our best Showtime ever," said Purcell, second generation owner of the agency. Showtime is the twice a year show for the American market held in High Point.
"We have a unique relationship with our principal lines. In fact, we are the extension of the mills we represent. Even our invoices bear their name and in our customers' eyes, we are the mills we represent." Purcell is looking to expand the business with additional high end lines planned for the future in product areas not currently represented.
Purcell Letchinger represents Bruvatex, Decoviz and Algemene of Belgium and Zensilk of India. Each of the lines is complimentary, Purcell pointed out. All are exhibitors at Decosit with individual stands. "Each of our principals helps the other. For example, at Showtime, if one principal was busy, the other happily showed the line to the customer. It's a special relationship that we have between us. We also compare notes on styling for the American market."
