BRADFORD, UK—By September 1, Prestigious Textiles expects to open Prestigious China, a partnership company based in Shanghai to serve the burgeoning Chinese market. The showroom will be based on Yishan Road.

 Prestigious China expects to offer 24 fabric collections for draperies, upholstery and home décor accessories, all presented in cut lengths, pieces and pattern books, together with the latest collections of Prestigious wallcoverings. The collections were selected specifically for the Chinese domestic market according to a Prestigious spokesman. The company said it will support the local China business by a daily courier service from Prestigious Textiles headquarters in Bradford, UK.

 “Although we have maintained a presence in China for a number of years, the establishment of Prestigious China means we now have a sales force which is responsible exclusively for sales of Prestigious products to the retail sector across the country,” said Trevor Helliwell, Chairman of the Prestigious Textiles Group.
