GMUND, Austria—Gerhard Brecka has been named managing director of Baumann Dekor. 

He joined the company from another position outside of the textile industry.

Christine Seidl, managing director of Baumann Dekor since January 2011, has left the company. She led the company through a bankruptcy on June 2011 and found three investors to take it out of bankruptcy.

The owners of Bauman Dekor credited Frau Seidl with the restructuring of the company but will now pursue a strategy of growing sales and improving customer service. “We strongly believe that this is the key for sustainable and profitable development of the company,” the owners said.

The two main shareholders, Franz Siller and Heinz Hofer-Wittman of Wittman management GmbH wrote a letter reviewing the departure of Frau Seidl on May 28.

Bauman Dekor is a converter and manufacturer of hospitality fabrics.
