Onity Lowers Costs with 'Intellity' Lock
August 28, 2007
OYARZUN, Spain – Onity, a provider of global electronic locking systems to hospitality and other environments, has released "Intellity," their newest energy-saving locking system.
Intellity is designed to read the magnetic stripe on Onity hotel-specific keycards to identify and differentiate guest and staff keycards while disconnecting electrical equipment when guests are not in the room. With a differentiation between guest and staff cards, it prevents hotel staff from using certain electronic equipment while cleaning the room. Intellity can reduce the overall power consumption at hotels about as much as 65 percent, thus lowering operational costs.
