NeoCon 2000 Expands

Chicago, Ill. – Chicago's Merchandise Mart will host the annual NeoCon World's Trade Fair 12-14 June. The 3-day event consists of seven simultaneous shows in one building, which draw interior designers, facility managers, architects and specifiers among others.
The shows include: NeoCon, itself, which calls itself North America's largest exposition of commercial office, health care, hospitality, institutional and retail furnishings; NEWHospitality, (sponsored by the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality) which will display new products for restaurants, hotels, resorts and clubs; Office Expo by OFDA (Office Furniture Dealers Alliance) is comprised of office furniture and accessories displays; TechnoCon exhibits computer hardware and software systems offering technological guidelines for specifying projects.
Featuring 1,200 exhibitors, NeoCon also offers products and services in the realms of commercial office, health care, hospitality, institutional and retail furnishings.
The 2000 edition of the show boasts an expansion. "This June, we have opened up the 12th-floor Market Suites to introduce the Italian Office Design Show," said Mark Falanga, a Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. Vice President. Falanga said that more than 50 Italian companies will occupy the 12th floor, exhibiting high-quality contract furnishings.
NeoCon will also offer an wide array of seminars, conferences and seminars.
According to a recent press release, last year's edition of the show drew a record 57,717 industry professionals.
