Morotti Joins Luilor

January 20, 2011

MILAN, Italy — Stefano Morotti has joined Prato-based Luilor as its general manager. The company was founded in 1990 by Marco Biagioni and the mill owns 50 jacquard and 20 dobby looms and focuses its production on high end fabrics.

Morotti resigned his post as general manager of Enzo degli Angiouni at the end of last year for a deal that was too good to be turned down, said an industry source. He reported to Enzo Angiuoni where he had been working for many years. He was export manager prior to being named GM and had strong ties to the Angiouni family.

There is also industry speculation that Roberto Angiouni will rejoin his family business once he works out his difficulties with Texar Stoffe, a mill he personally bought several years ago at the beginning of the recession.
