Maria Kremer Garber Slows Down, Resigns Imatex, Lodetex, Gierlings

BLAUVELT, New York — Maria Kremer Garber, a longtime, well-known American agent, (Garber-Tex International) has happily reduced her load of principals with her resignation from Italian lines Imatex and Lodetex which she represented in the USA and also Gierlings-Velpor of Portugal.
She continues to represent Swadeshi of Bangalore, India.
Garber says she wants to spend more time with her family, especially with Grant and Blake, her grandsons and wishes to just take life just a little bit easier than she has for the past 25 years. Maria Kremer Garber
She represented Imatex (Nibionno, IT), an upholstery weaver for 15 years and Lodetex (Busto Arsizio), a curtain fabric weaver for 14 years and Gierlings-Velpor, a velvet mill in Santo Tirso, Portugal.
In the wake of her departure, Imatex owner and CEO Giulia Fumagalli has appointed her son Jacopo Mazzola, a former golf professional based in Miami, Florida, director of the North American market.
He will continue to work with Paola Rigamonti at the mill.
In the case of Lodetex, Luca Faranghi, a principal will handle sales in the USA.
Those who wanted to wish Maria well, found her at Proposte, still representing Evimteks and Swadeshi Silk in the USA.
Maria says she will now be spending more time with her two grandsons and family in New York and Delaware.
