Maharam To Develop Euro Market
Without Its 18-Year Partner Kvadrat
January 11, 2021
NEW YORK—After 18 years working together in Europe and North America, Kvadrat and Maharam will go their
separate ways.
Kvadrat will establish its own showrooms and sell through its own sales force in North America while Maharam will do the same in Europe. Previously, Kvadrat distributed the Maharam line in Europe.
“At this time, it is important for us to tell our own story globally,” a Maharam spokesman says.
“As we look to the future, we are focused on the new opportunity to work directly with clients in the European market where Maharam was represented by Kvadrat.
“In doing so we can now offer our global audience the same standard of product, service, and storytelling that make us so unique; we can share our full product line and in Europe we can tell more of our story—for example the unparalleled creativity and innovation of the Maharam Design Studio, our preservation of design legacy through our Textiles of the 20th Century, as well as many of our unique product categories like leather and Maharam Digital Projects.”
