March 8, 2004

LONDON - The fourth edition of London Fabric took place from 24 to 26 February 2004 at the stylish Commonwealth Institute in West London. Forty companies from 12 countries exhibited at the UK's only manufacturer's show targeted at upholstery and curtain manufacturers, wholesalers, fabric houses and large retailers. Drapery fabric is now formally incorporated into the show profile and its share is set to grow.

The show attracted over 700 visitors. Once more, the quality of visitors was key to the continuing success of the show. London Fabric has gained strong support over the years from a good number of visitors and exhibitors who enjoy its timing, size and focused approach.

Quotes from some visitors:
"We like London Fabric because it is easily accessible and its timing makes it ideal to source new fabrics. We hope to see even more suppliers next year,'' said Harvey Ellis, Production Manager, DFS.

"The offering at London Fabric this year was much improved. The collections presented by Italian and Belgian mills were diverse and impressive in terms of design, color and pricing. The timing of the show is ideal,'' said John Brown, Managing Director, J. Brown Fabrics.

"London Fabric offers the advantage of gathering many of our suppliers under one roof. We particularly enjoy the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere of the show enabling us to view collections, go over issues and spend quality time with them,'' Ashley Edgington, Design Director, Lebus Furniture.

Next year's dates: 22 – 24 February 2005.
