Libas Ltd. Debuts Trim Designed to Match Silk Collections
March 1, 2005
LOS ANGELES, California — Libas Limited, a U.S. based silk importer has launched a line of trim to go with their pre-existing collection of Indian silks. The debut marks the company's first venture in the trimming business.
"It gives our customer more to choose from and the ability to color coordinate," said Joyce Harmon, Libas national sales manager, cut yardage.
Libas has decided to answer the demands of their customers, according to Harmon. "Our cut yardage designers want an all inclusive collection, including trim to match our silk," she said.
The collection is designed with the U.S. residential and to-the-trade market in mind, and Libas hopes it will complement their traditional silks, jacquards, damasks, sheer and organzas, as well as embroideries and prints.
"We're the largest silk supplier in the U.S. with great stock in L.A.," Harmon said. "Our pricing is very competitive too."
The 26-old company is privately owned by Ashok Saklecha.
