GREAT NECK, NY--  Leonard Silberman known to the industry as one of the co-founders of Duralee Fabrics in 1952, passed away in his home at age 93 on April 16, 2016. He was the husband of his late wife Rosalie and father to David Silberman (Gay); Richard Silberman (Mary); and Amy Silberman Benjamin (Alan), Susan Nussbaum Cohen (Alan), Joanne Nussbaum Marquardt (Kristin). He was the grandfather to twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Silberman became President of Duralee in 1986 and CEO in 1996. Leonard remains a legendary figure in the industry.
