Kravet Taps Ann Grafton Managing Director for G.P. & J. Baker Group Division; Hill Departs

Bethpage, N.Y.-- Kravet Inc. has named Ann Grafton as the Managing Director for its UK division, G.P. & J. Baker.
She joins G.P. & J. Baker after almost two decades as group creative director at The Colefax Group, another British editeur.
According to Kravet, Grafton was instrumental in expanding the fabric division of Colefax to almost $100 million including the purchase of Cowtan & Tout, Jane Churchill, Larsen and Manual Canovas.
"Ann is uniquely qualified for this job based on her past accomplishments, innate abilities and charming personality", says Cary Kravet, president of Kravet. "Her dedication to her job and positive attitude are significant assets that will be important both for Baker and for Kravet as a whole." She will succeed Peter Hill who Kravet said "has distinguished himself as managing director for the past five years." Grafton will oversee the entire G.P. & Baker Group that includes the creative studio and sales organization for G.P. & J. Baker, Parkertex, Lee Jofa UK, Mulberry Home and Fired Earth (the latter two are licenses).
Her best selling home and furnishing book "Interior Transformations" was published in 2001 and has now been translated into 7 languages.
