HUDSON, OH—Joann, a crafts, sewing and fabric retailer announced in February 2025 it was closing all its 800 stores in the USA after filing for two bankruptcies in 2024.
From a single storefront in Cleveland, Ohio 80 years ago, this major retailer in sewing and fabrics was one of the fastest growing competitors in the arts and crafts industry .
However, Joann was struggling to pay off its debts after facing financial and inventory issues. Currently, all inventory is being liquidated.
