Joan Merges Doblin and Circa 1801

Tynsboro, MA (USA) - Elkin McCallum, chairman of Joan Fabrics Corporation, announced today the merger of Doblin and Circa 1801 into a newly combined entity named Circa 1801/Doblin.

"When I purchased Circa 1801 eight months ago it was always my plan to bring these two entities together under the leadership of John Lenox and Margaret Coffin," McCallum said.

"John and Margaret are partners with me in this new company and I am highly confident of its success."

McCallum also announced the following changes to Circa/Doblin''s sales staff.
1. Kathy Carr will discontinue her representation of Doblin in the Northeast and will devote her full efforts to Home Fabrics.
2. Nick Chmil will relocate to New York City and will represent the new Circa 1801/Doblin entity in the Northeast.
3. Brian Chmil and Bob Balitow will partner in the Southeast and represent Circa 1801/Doblin in this territory.
4. Richard Zack and his team will carry the line in the Midwest.
5. Joe Brooks is the newly appointed representative on the West Coast.

6.Bruce Allen has been re-assigned to the Mastercraft Group and will be working on special design projects.
