Jerry Rheiner of Purcell International Textile Passes Away at 84

NEW YORK, New York — Jerry Rheiner, beloved husband, father and converter of textiles passed away in the early morning of December 8 in a Bronx hospital from complications with his lungs. He celebrated his 84th birthday on Nov 11. Jerry is survived by his wife, Ruth, their two sons and several grandchildren. He joined North-Carolina based Purcell International Textile in 1978 as its first salesman and spent the following 25 years with the company.
"He was very loyal," said Harold Purcell, former president of the company. "He was a good and dear friend and loved by his customers in the New York City market."
