J. Queen Continues to Hire Amid Growth in Second Year

NEW YORK, New York -- J.Queen New York has added several key staff to its New York office and showroom in an effort to support the growth it has been experiencing since industry veteran Julie Brady founded the firm in the summer of 2009.
Don Whittam, executive vice president of Merchandising and Operations confirmed that Buddy Gordon joined as account executive at the Spring 2011 Textiles Market Week and will be focused on sales growth for accounts in the Eastern Region inclusive of Bed, Bath and Beyond, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Boscov’s and others. Gordon brings a long history of selling Fashion Bedding, Bath and Window products to a wide variety of retail customers.
Jason Hagey has joined as supply chain director. Hagey will support the company’s efforts as it grows its infrastructure to support an increasing and varied domestic and international customer base. Jason has a long background on both the retail and manufacturing side with a strong emphasis on understanding retail selling and product forecasting.
Joyce Alcantara joins as global product manager supporting the team in administrative, costing, and showroom presentation for all product categories. She will also shore up product coordination as J.Queen New York debuts its initial Fabric Collection Line in Fall 2011.
"Our business has grown steadily in our first two years, and the addition of sales and operations talent will allow us to support our customer base with service that can be depended on – enhancing our already significant efforts in the design and merchandising areas," said Brady, president.
