Inspirations Launches Made-Ups Line
February 25, 2004
MUMBAI, India—Inspirations, the textile division of Anglo-French Drugs & Industries Ltd., inaugurated its made-ups business this year.
Abhay Kanoria, president of the Indian upholstery weaver, said he expects to sell 70 percent of its turnover in made-ups within three years. Inspirations sells a million meters of upholstery annually to converters, wholesalers and furniture manufacturers.
"More of our upholstery customers are asking for made-ups," Kanoria said. "We already spin yarn, weave upholstery and now we will manufacture finished articles. Soon we'll be stocking the goods for our customers—if that's what they want us to do," he laughed.
