ITMA Introduces Window Coverings Pavilion

HIGH POINT, North Carolina – The International Textile Market Association has announced that it will host a group of more than a dozen exhibitors that supply workrooms and manufacturers of window covering and bedding for the first time at the upcoming Showtime market in June.
The window covering pavilion, called World of Windows, will be sponsored by Grace McNamara Inc., organizer of the International Window Covering Expo and publisher of Window Fashion Vision magazine. As part of the show's new coverage, there will be two trend seminars led by Deb Barrett. Catherine Morsell, director of Showtime, said that the textile group expects that the window covering pavilion will help increase ITMA membership and increase exhibitors and attendees of Showtime.
In addition to the new pavilion, ITMA has set the dates for its summer and winter Showtime fabric events for the next 10 years.
ITMA has partnered with MMPI to develop a venue for members who have leases with MMPI to sell product year-round in Market Square. The Market Square Textile Sample Room is also set to attract designers shopping the High Point Design Center. "We are sponsoring the International Buyer Center during the spring High Point Market to help market Showtime to the international media and to connect international buyers interested in shopping for fabric with our members who are available during the market, which is a first for us," said Catherine Morsell, director of Showtime.
In addition, after last year's introduction of an airport shuttle service to the show, Showtime has decided to introduce a second shuttle for further convenience. In addition, Showtime attendees will be able to check themselves in when they arrive at the show via kiosks that will be placed at entrances.
"The goal of ITMA is to add value for its members and their customers," said Morsell.
